I just point and shoot, but.....

I stopped on a random channel and watched a photographer in a movie taking pictures of two very gorgeous women. I've never worked with a model, but it seemed to me he was taking all the shots I would definitely not take and none of the shots that I definitely would. Maybe it's a matter of opinion or a matter of taste. Is the director's eye bad or is it mine? Just a thought and random musing. I felt like writing something.

Oh, and I am partaking of a very tasty Haitian rum that a great friend (and my "boss") brought back from his trip.

My mother-in-law's in York, and I usually try to sneak in a coupla shoots when we visit. You said you've never worked with a model...perhaps we should collaborate sometime. You bring the locations and I'll bring the model.

That would be awesome. I dont have much of a camera right now, but sometime around Christmas I'm going to be getting a new one. I have a lot of great spots to share, and I would LOVE to have that experience.

Photography isn't about the camera...it's about the end result. Whether you're using a high-end professional camera or a point-and-shoot, what counts is what you do with it. Never be embarrassed or apologetic about the tools you use. One of my most oft-quoted mottos is "Whatever works". ;)

I definitely make do with what I've got, and "whatever works" is pretty much how I live in general. I'm just excited that i will be getting a new camera
